Rich Ford moved to Portland in 1984 lured by the city and its surrounding outdoor beauty. He started Westover Investments, a commercial real estate company specializing in leasing, selling and developing commercial properties. Rich was an early pioneer in recognizing and developing the Portland Warehouse District into what has now become known as the “Pearl District”.
In 1994 Rich founded R.C. Ford & Company to better serve his clients, who often became his partners, in the creation of development opportunities. R.C. Ford & Company offered a personal style in seeking new and creative uses for old buildings, finding the right tenants and making it lucrative for all parties involved.
